The Seagate announces returning Bourbon Steak chef
The Seagate recently appointed Mario Beabraut as executive chef of Bourbon Steak. A Michael Mina restaurant, they are bringing back Beabraut who has spent years within The Mina Group, including leading Bourbon Steak Miami at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa and previously served as executive chef of Bourbon Steak & Pub
at Levi's Stadium. A Palm Beach County native, Mario's career has taken him from The Breakers Palm Beach to Café Boulud, Bouchon Las Vegas, Farmshop Marin, and kitchens across Europe and Asia, giving him a globally influenced perspective while maintaining a strong connection to South Florida.
Wellington public relations firm develops own AI tool
Located in Wellington and led by Crystal DeStefano, Strategic Communications has developed its own proprietary AI Visibility Audit tool as part of the company’s new AI Visibility Services. This tool analyzes how an organization is mentioned or omitted across seven major AI platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot, Bing Copilot, Google Gemini and Google AI Overviews. The audit reviews data-driven results tied to topics important to each organization, compares visibility against competitors, and provides a practical 90-day roadmap that factors in all the nuances of the different AI platforms as well as nuances that many organizations don’t realize on their own websites and other online sources.
Community Partners of South Florida adds to board
Community Partners of South Florida recently announced the appointment of Jade Lawson and Inger Harvey to its board of directors. Lawson is an accomplished entrepreneur, community advocate and real estate professional who brings business experience, leadership and a passion for community development to the organization. She was raised in Palm Beach County and is married to Douglas Lawson, Mayor of Riviera Beach. Harvey is a native of Pahokee and has served as executive director of the Pahokee Housing Authority since January 2020. Community Partners of South Florida is a $15 million comprehensive community development nonprofit agency headquartered in Riviera Beach that provides services to families facing social, emotional, and financial adversity.
SaltBird Kitchen & Bar names new executive chef
SaltBird Kitchen & Bar in Jupiter has named Mydland Eyester as executive chef, ushering in a new chapter for the restaurant while continuing its commitment to elevated Southern-inspired cuisine and hospitality. Eyester began working in restaurants at just 15 years old before training under respected chefs including Brian So at Spring Restaurant and under James Beard Award semifinalist chef Craig Richards at Lyla Lila. While guests can expect seasonal features and fresh culinary ideas, SaltBird will remain rooted in the elevated Southern flavors, quality ingredients, and genuine hospitality that have become its signature.
Local YWCA names CEO, board president
YWCA Palm Beach County recently announced the appointment of Mary Hart as chief executive officer and Tessie Watts as the 2026–2027 president of its board of directors. Hart and Watts will guide the YWCA as it builds upon its longstanding mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. Hart will oversee the organization’s operations, programs, and strategic direction while expanding partnerships and resources. Watts is a Riviera Beach native and the founder and CEO of The Leadership Haven Resource Center, LLC. YWCA Palm Beach County provides life-saving and life-changing services designed to create pathways to safety, stability, and self-sufficiency.
Comiter Singer attorneys recognized by high net worth guide
Comiter Singer has once again been recognized in the 2026 Chambers High Net Worth Guide, with the firm earning a Band 2 ranking in Private Wealth Law – Florida, advancing from Band 3 in the previous edition. The guide also recognizes two Comiter Singer attorneys for their work advising high net worth individuals and families on sophisticated estate planning, wealth preservation, tax planning, and business succession matters. Founding partner Richard B. Comiter maintained his Band 1 ranking, Chambers' highest distinction. Senior partner Andrew R. Comiter advanced from the Up and Coming category to Band 3.
