The Miami Dolphins are down early against the Kansas City Chiefs and may have lost their best offensive weapon.
Running back De'Von Achane limped off the field with trainers at his side after a play in the first quarter at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.
At the end of an 11-yard run, Achane juked and was then grabbed on his helmet and taken to the ground hard by a Chiefs defender.
He later entered the medical tent on the sideline before walking to the Dolphins locker room with team medical staff. Achane is considered questionable to return with a knee injury.
The Dolphins trailed the Chiefs 7-0 at the time of Achane's injury in the first quarter. Patrick Mahomes connected with Travis Kelce for a 48-yard gain on the first play of the game and
Kenneth Walker scored on a 10-yard rush three plays later.
Second-year running back Ollie Gordon II received three offensive touches on the Dolphins' drive after Achane injury.
