MIAMI GARDENS — Miami Dolphinsedge rusher Chop Robinson looks and sounds like a player itching to make 2025 a distant memory. Throughout the offseason he has talked about reshaping his game and his body, including adding 11 pounds to now weigh 265.

With the season opener at the Las Vegas Raiders about a week away, it appears Robinson is less in the mood for chopping it up and is starting to focus more on chopping down quarterbacks. Just don’t ask for a preview for what’s to come.
“They just got to wait and see,” Robinson said. “I can’t really say much. I just got to go out there and they can see it.”
By “it,” Robinson presumably means the player who made the All-Rookie Team in 2024, when he had six sacks, largely
on the strength of a strong second half of the season. Expectations were high last year, but Robinson’s sack total fell to four and his tackles for loss dropped in half, from eight to four.

Robinson is the only proven pass rusher on the team now, with enormous responsibility. And he sounds like he’s in prove-it mode after last year.
“I feel like people going to look at last year and think of me differently,” he said. “But I know I’m a whole different guy, a whole different player. So I’m just excited to go out there and show that.”
