Ready to vote? Florida’s 2026 primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Because Florida is a closed primary state, registered Democrats can only vote in Democratic races and registered Republicans can only vote in Republican races. If voters have no party affiliation, they can still vote in nonpartisan races, like school board and county judge, or on referendum questions in certain municipalities.
