Hedge-fund manager Scott Goodwin and his wife, Kimberly, just sold — for a recorded $16.8 million — a house at 201 Ocean Terrace on the North End of Palm Beach. The couple has been busy building themselves a new oceanfront custom home just down street.
They sold the house on Ocean Terrace through the 201 Ocean Revocable Trust, for which attorney Paul Krasker acts as trustee. That trust paid about $8 million in February 2021 for the Monterey-style residence, which was built in 2019, property records show. The Goodwins then carried out a major remodeling project, according the latest sales listing.
On the purchasing side is 201 Ocean Terrace Trust, with Palm Beach attorney Maura Ziska as the trustee, according to the deed recorded Sept. 24 in Palm Beach County.
Ziska declined to comment. Because of privacy laws that protect trusts, further information about the buyer is not publicly available.
The five-bedroom house has 5,844 square feet of living space, inside and out. Built on a lot of nearly a third of an acre, the house stands at the corner of North Ocean Way, a little more than half a mile from the northern tip of the island.
The house entered the multiple listing service with a price of $19 million in late January. Serhant agent Gary Pohrer's listing described it as “fully renovated with timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship throughout."
The house has a formal living room and a kitchen open to the family room, where large-pane glass doors look out to the pool area. An open-air covered loggia also overlooks the pool, which has a sun shelf and a whirlpool spa.

Other selling points mentioned in Pohrer's listing included a first-floor primary suite, an elevator, a two-car garage and state-of-the-art climate-control and sound systems.
The front and the rear of the house feature second-floor verandas — a hallmark of the Monterey style.

The Goodwins had the house homesteaded as their primary residence in the latest Palm Beach County tax rolls.
Scott Goodwin co-founded and is managing partner at Diameter Capital Partners LP. With offices in West Palm Beach, New York City and London, the company operates hedge funds and other investment vehicles, along with offering direct-lending and credit services.
The Goodwins are building a new house at 1330 N. Ocean Blvd. at the corner of Ocean Terrace, directly across the street from the beach. The Goodwins used a trust to buy that property for a recorded $23 million in 2023 and razed a 1960s-era house there to accommodate their new home on the lot. The lot at No. 1330 measures three-fifths of an acre, including its 50-by-17-foot beach parcel.
The Goodwins' new house was designed with five bedrooms and 7,771 square feet of living space above grade, according to the plans approved in a 5-2 vote by the Architectural Commission in July 2024.
The house the Goodwins just parted with was built on speculation by Carl Hj. Asplundh Jr. of the Asplundh Tree Expert Co. Built by the Sabatello Cos., the house was one of three residences Asplundh built on the street.
The Goodwins have owned other property on the North End. In May 2020, the couple bought a spec house at 232 Bahama Lane for $5.46 million and flipped it six months later for $7.27 million, courthouse records show. They sold that house during the initial phase of the real estate boom in Palm Beach sparked by the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic.
