The "Dancing with the Stars" Season 35 kicked off with a bang this week, with a two-night premiere and two eliminations.
On the first night of the premiere, Tuesday, Sept. 15, the eight male celebrities in the cast danced with their pro partners to number one hit songs from the years they were born. The only Floridian celebrity in the cast, Tyler Cameron,
impressed the judges with a Tango, and landed toward the top of the scoreboard.In Wednesday night's second part of the premiere, the female celebrities also danced to number one hits from their birth years.
Season 34 last year was the highest-rated and most-watched season of "Dancing with the Stars" in 10 years, a milestone that this season's premiere may have already reached. The volume of votes
from the first night more than doubled the votes that came in for last season's premiere episode.

Who was eliminated on 'DWTS' last night?
Reality television star Sarah Jane Nader and newcomer professional dancer Hailey Bills were eliminated during last night's episode of "Dancing with the Stars." They were the third same-sex dance partnership to compete in the show, behind reality star JoJo Siwa and drag queen Shangela.
Nader earned a score of 14 for her and Bills' Jive to Avril Lavigne’s “Sk8er Boi” during the second premiere episode.
Maura Higgins, Mark Ballas top 'Dancing with the Stars' premiere night 2 scoreboard
"Love Island UK" and "The Traitors" star Maura Higgins and pro partner Mark Ballas took the top of the leaderboard with a Foxtrot dance to 1990 number one hit "Black Velvet" by Alannah Myles. Higgins and Ballas were previously cast mates on the fourth season of "The Traitors" last year, and their dance was "Traitors" themed.

"Secret Lives of Mormon Wives" star and husband of Season 34 "DWTS" cast member Whitney Leavitt, Connor Leavitt, was eliminated on Tuesday alongside newcomer and "Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro" winner Adele Zaikman. The 32-year-old finished near the bottom of the judges' leaderboard with 12 total points.
