Was there ever any doubt as to the winner of The Palm Beach Post's inaugural "Play of the Month" poll?
Pahokee's Corian Davis was a runaway winner (58%) in our August celebration thanks to his miraculous
75-yard touchdown reception as time expired against Royal Palm Beach on Aug. 28.
Davis' heroics were a national sensation, earning the Blue Devils an appearance at No. 1 in the following morning's "Top 10 Plays" on ESPN's Sportscenter
."To be honest, I really can't tell you what went on," Davis said after the game. "All I can tell you that the quarterback made a good throw. There wasn't really that much time left on the bar. So somebody had to make a big play and I made that big play. And we're gonna keep on doing it the whole year, the whole season."
