Just 30 of golf's brightest stars remain in contention in the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs. They'll duke it out in Atlanta this weekend for the biggest prize in the sport at the 2026 Tour Championship, which will see a new look in a few years.
Four-time defending Player of the Year Scottie Scheffler enters as the odds-on favorite even after fighting off hand, foot and mouth disease at last week's BMW Championship. World No. 2 and three-time Tour champion Rory McIlroy is looking sharp after a third-place finish behind U.S. Open champ Wyndham Clark. And you can't rule out last year's FedEx Cup winner Tommy Fleetwood.

Where is the Tour Championship?
Since 2005, the Tour Championship has taken place every year at East Lake Golf Club, about 6 miles east of downtown Atlanta. Among other tournaments, it has hosted the 2001 U.S. Amateur, the 1950 U.S. Women's Amateur and the 1963 Ryder Cup. The par-72 Championship course runs 7,515 yards.
Is there a cut at the BMW Championship?
With just 30 players in the field, the Tour Championship does not include a 36-hole cut. The same is true for the rest of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
Who won the 2025 Tour Championship?
Tommy Fleetwood got off to a hot start and then outlasted the field to win his first PGA Tour event and the FedEx Cup. He shot 18 under to beat Russell Henley and Patrick Cantlay by three strokes.
