Welcome to the 2026 Tour Championship. The 30 golf stars who have put together the best seasons on the PGA Tour have gathered at East Lake in Atlanta to determine which one walks away with the FedEx Cup.
Tommy Fleetwood won it last year; it also remains the only tournament he's won in his career, though he does have eight top-10 finishes in 2026. Rory McIlroy has won three; he's the only player to do so, and the two-time reigning Masters champ isn't content to stop there. The favorite, of course, is 2024 winner Scottie Scheffler, as long as he's over his bout of hand, foot and mouth disease that plagued him in last week's BMW Championship.
The playoff standings don't matter anymore: Whoever has the best score to par after 72 holes will lift the trophy.
The traditional tournament will remain in place until 2028, when a two-week match-play format over multiple courses will take its place.
