Overnight fires displaced five people apiece in West Palm Beach and suburban Boca Raton, the American Red Cross said.
The fire in West Palm Beach took place early on Saturday, Aug. 15, along 22nd Street, about 2 miles north of City Hall, in a neighborhood lined up with single-story, pastel-colored homes.
The fire left three adults and two children temporarily without a home, the Red Cross said in a news release.
Another fire on Aug. 14 left five adults living in a home on Ember Street in suburban Boca Raton also without a residence, the agency said. The home is in the Palmetto Pines neighborhood west of State Road 7 and south of Palmetto Park Road.
The cause of either fire wasn't immediately available. The Red Cross Emergency Disaster Team is assisting
those displaced.
