GARDENS ― Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley met with reporters before Friday's practice, one day before players work out inside Hard Rock Stadium.

Jeff Hafley has injury updates, stadium practice plans
- Today will be a tough practice . "A lot of unscripted, move the ball" work. It's the first time they're going this hard. And it won't be a short practice.
- Saturday's practice won't entail all the things they go through on game days. Hafley wants it to be a hard, good, productive practice but doesn't want players to stress about all their pre-game routines.
- Hafley praises the players' buy-in and attitude. "We're building the foundation as far as the culture goes and what it wants to be."
- "There are some nights I go to bed and I'm really proud of how hard we're working."
- Dante Trader Jr. will not practice today. He's day to day, should return next week.
- On players and social media: "There's certain things I don't want posted. What's said here, stays here." Hafley said when he meets with players, especially college players, he heard players talking about getting blasted on social media. "These guys, they've got feelings."
Rookie WR Chris Bell progressing 'nicely'
- WR Kevin Coleman is day to day, as is TE Ben Sims.
- WR Chris Bell is "progressing nicely." He is running and able to cut now. "We want to be certain that he is ready so he does not have setbacks in his career." Hafley said "it would be amazing" if he's able to play in a preseason game.
- On LB Willie Gay Jr.: "The same I'd like to see out of everybody — consistency in the scheme. ... I think the key with Willie and all of our players are being detailed within the scheme." Hafley said just making a great play in practice isn't enough. It's about consistency. "Willie's done a nice job."
