Jared Moskowitz defeated challenger Oliver Larkin in the Democratic primary for U.S. House in Florida’s 25th Congressional District on Tuesday, Aug. 18 and will face Scott Singer in November.
Moskowitz, 45, of Parkland, is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he has served since 2023. He won about 63.5% of the vote.
Singer won the Republican primary race over fellow candidates Dan Franzese, Raven Harrison, Joe Kaufman and George Moraitis.
Moskowitz previously served as a Broward County commissioner, director of the Florida Division of Emergency Management, a Florida state representative and a Parkland city commissioner.

include lowering the cost of living, addressing Florida's homeowners insurance crisis, protecting Social Security and Medicare, defending democratic institutions and the rule of law, and reducing gun violence.
He said he has proposed a federal reinsurance program aimed at lowering homeowners insurance premiums and is working on bipartisan efforts to reduce healthcare and everyday costs.
He also said he remains committed to advancing gun-safety measures, citing his role in passing Florida's most significant gun-safety legislation in two decades following the Parkland school shooting.

Larkin, 34, of Fort Lauderdale, is a political consultant and digital strategist who founded Mountaintop Strategy LLC and has worked on Democratic campaigns at the local, state and national levels, including Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign.
