Is the Jackson Koivun era officially upon us? The golf world is eager to see how the exciting rookie follows up his first PGA Tour win at this weekend's Rocket Classic.
The 21-year-old who tore it up at Auburn did the same at the 3M Open, nearly dropping a 60 en route to holding off Scottie Scheffler for the victory in just his third career professional start. He's in a featured group this week with Keegan Bradley and U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark as he seeks to become the youngest in Tour history to win back-to-back tournaments.
He'll have plenty of competition, with Clark one of four players in the top 10 of the World Golf Ranking taking part in Detroit. Cameron Young leads the field with Chris Gotterup and Russell Henley expected to contend,
alongside Si Woo Kim, Xander Schauffele and Hideki Matsuyama, who also made a late push to challenge Koivun last week.
