Taking a look at how some of the Miami Dolphins' rookies performed in the 35-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday:
CB Chris Johnson
Was picked on in the Raiders game and the 49ers took note. Brock Purdy looked his way early, including on a pass to Christian McCaffrey, whose elusiveness seemed to catch Johnson by surprise.
S Michael Taaffe
Got caught up in traffic with Willie Gay on Purdy’s 2-yard scramble for a touchdown. Taaffe led the Dolphins with nine tackles.
WR Caleb Douglas
A week after pilling up 94 yards in his NFL debut, Douglas was held to a modest two catches. He briefly left the game with an ankle injury but appeared to be OK.
LB Jacob Rodriguez
Recorded eight tackles and a quarterback hit.
G Kadyn Proctor
Had his moments blocking but was guilty of holding and a false start.
