With a field as small as the one at the Tour Championship, wild swings on the leaderboard should be expected day to day.
Ryan Gerard didn't have to go too far to climb to the top, putting together a second straight 5-under 65 in the second round to take control at East Lake alongside Viktor Hovland. The final pairing enters Round 3 a stroke up on Collin Morikawa and Chris Gotterup. The biggest jump of the second round came from Cameron Young, who flew from a tie for last into a tie for fifth with Scottie Scheffler after a sterling 8-under day.
Round 1 leader Min Woo Lee went from two strokes up to five shots back and in the middle of the pack. Could Rory McIlroy take his turn to shoot up the leaderboard today? The three-time FedEx Cup winner comes
in five spots from the bottom but just seven strokes off the lead.
