For the first time since coming about 50 yards short of the national championship, Miami football is back at Hard Rock Stadium. The No. 7 Hurricanes take on Florida A&M in between two weeknight ACC football matchups.
UM is 1-0 after a cakewalk of an opener at Stanford, breezing to a 45-6 win in which both Darian Mensah (27 of 30, 401 yards, five touchdowns) and Malachi Toney (12 receptions, 234 yards, three TDs) looked like early contenders for the Heisman Trophy. Look for Mark Fletcher Jr. and the rest of the running backs to be more involved in this one.
FAMU (1-1) played here last week in the Orange Blossom Classic, falling 31-13 to South Carolina State. The FCS squad is in its first year under head coach and former Rattlers great Quinn Gray,
who has set out to revitalize the Dark Cloud defense.
