Body found off coast of Boca Raton, police say. What we know

Boca Raton police are investigating a body found floating two miles off the coast.

A boater, whose name has not been released, called police just after 8 a.m. to report the discovery. Police spokesperson Dylan Huberman said marine units and members of Boca Raton Fire Rescue are investigating.

Huberman did not say what condition the body appeared to be in, nor the age or sex. He also did not say whether the person appeared to be a victim of a crime, or if their death was accidental.
