Popular R&B artist Jacquees was arrested in Florida on charges including DUI and battery, according to police.
The 32-year-old singer and songwriter, whose real name is Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax was taken into custody in Hollywood, Florida just before 8 a.m. Sept. 27. Deputies went to the scene after receiving a call about a person “passed out” inside their vehicle, according to a statement Hollywood Police provided USA TODAY Network-Florida.
While being transported to the hospital, Broadnax “became combative with first responders,” police said. He’s facing charges of battery on an officer, firefighter or EMT, DUI alcohol or drugs and resisting without violence.
