The 5th-ranked Miami Hurricanes have lost two starters for the season due to injuries.
Speaking on his Monday morning radio show on WQAM, UM Coach Mario Cristobal said running back Marty Brown (knee) and receiver Josh Moore (upper body injury) are out for the season. Cristobal added that linebacker Ezekiel Marcelin will be out “for a few weeks.”
The Hurricanes suffered another possible key injury during Friday night's 33-20 win at Wake Forest. After Marty Brown was carted off with his knee injury in the second quarter, fellow running back Mark Fletcher left in the fourth quarter with what was reported as an "upper-body injury."
Cristobal, however, is hopeful
on Fletcher's injury. Fletcher posted a team-leading 85 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries against the Demon Deacons.
The Canes host Central Michigan (1-1) on Sept. 26 at Hard Rock Stadium.
