The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office is offering a $6,000 reward for information that help it solve the mystery of a 44-year-old woman who has been missing for nearly two years.
Sara Eileen Gallagher was last seen Oct. 30, 2024, walking her 9-year-old pit bull, Cooper, near Hypoluxo Road and Eastview Drive in Lantana, according to PBSO.
Investigators said she has not been seen or heard from since.
They describe Gallagher as being 5 feet 7 inches and about 120 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair. She is a native of Pennsylvania.
"Due to suspicious circumstances surrounding her disappearance, detectives are actively investigating and urging anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward," the Sheriff's Office wrote on Aug. 24.
The office
began its investigation into Gallagher's disappearance on December 2025 after Gallagher's family in Pennsylvania had requested a welfare check. It had not heard from her for several weeks, according to published reports.
In April 2025, the Sheriff's Office searched the searched the area where Gallagher was last seen with the Florida Gulf Coast University human identity and trauma analysis team, but the effort did not yield any results.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on her whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS (8477). Callers to Crime Stoppers can be anonymous.
