Starting in November, United Airlines will launch a new route for travelers flying out of Donald J. Trump International Airport — but only on Saturdays.
Palm Beach County flyers are being offered a nonstop
flight between West Palm Beach and San Francisco that will offer connections throughout the western United States and the Pacific Northwest.
The Palm Beaches is a seasonal home to snowbirds and others from around the United States, and beyond, from early fall to late spring. Airlines typically add or increase flights to northern markets during the social season.
Sometimes those flights are permanent, sometimes they are seasonal and often are limited to certain days of the week.
How many DJT flights are from United?
In April, United flights accounted for nearly 15% of flights at Donald J. Trump International Airport, according to an airport traffic report. They carried about 67,400 passengers to destinations including Chicago and Denver.
The new San Francisco service will bolster the Palm Beach County airport's connection to the U.S. west coast, according to a news release.
“United Airlines continues to expand travel options for our passengers, and we’re pleased to welcome new nonstop service to San Francisco,” said Palm Beach County Department of Airports Director Laura Beebe. “This route strengthens our West Coast network and provides additional connections through United’s San Francisco hub.”
New flights coming to DJT in the fall and winter:
- United Airlines: Washington Dulles and Houston (resumes Sept. 24), and Denver (resumes Oct. 25)
- Allegiant Air: Grand Rapids (resumes Oct. 1) and Cincinnati (resumes Nov. 19)
- Avelo Airlines: Wilmington, Delaware (resumes Oct. 9)
- JetBlue Airways: Los Angeles (resumes Oct. 25)
- Air Canada: Toronto (resumes Oct. 25) and Montreal (resumes Dec. 2)
- Southwest Airlines: Denver (begins Nov. 21)
- Delta Air Lines: Los Angeles (begins Nov. 21)
- Breeze Airways: Columbus and Atlantic City (begin Dec. 17)
- Porter Airlines: Toronto (resumes Dec. 17)
