The weather has cooled (even if it's a few degrees we'll take it), hurricane season is nearly over (fingers crossed) and season is upon us in South Florida. It's time to venture outdoors and what better
way to take full advantage than to hit one of the many outstanding green markets in Palm Beach County?
Though we have many excellent ones to choose from, there's one that's probably at the top of most lists — and not just here.
In April after being relegated to runner up two years running, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket retook the title "Best Farmers Market" in the nation in the USA TODAY 10Best Readers Choice Awards.
That's right, this juggernaut of outdoor shopping, dining, culinary classes, occasional live music, happy pups and good times has retaken the throne and promises an even bigger better market for 2026-27.
Entering their 32nd season with the theme "The World, Right Here," the West Palm Beach GreenMarket attracts over 10,000 people to the city's waterfront each Saturday and represents one of the largest small business gatherings in the region. Vendors offer everything from fresh produce, baked goods, coffee and tea to plants and flowers, spices, specialty foods, home décor, pet products as well as health and wellness items.
This season, visitors are invited to see just how much of the world can be found at the GreenMarket. With vendors representing countries across Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, and beyond, marketgoers can discover European pastries, Mediterranean specialties, Latin American favorites, tropical produce, international beverages, and other products and traditions from around the globe — all along the West Palm Beach waterfront.
“The return of the West Palm Beach GreenMarket is like a holiday in West Palm Beach,” said Mayor Keith A. James. “What started with just 13 vendors in a small parking lot has grown into a Saturday morning tradition for residents and visitors alike. It has been incredible to watch the GreenMarket grow into what it is today. I hope everyone will make time to enjoy the West Palm Beach GreenMarket this season!”
