The 24 players who will meet Sept. 27-30 in the Presidents Cup at the Medinah Golf Club near Chicago are all PGA Tour members.
As such, they're already familiar with each other. They've competed in Tour events and major championships, and many go back as far as junior golf. Most of the players on the International team, which has players from seven countries, have second homes in the U.S.
It's an elite two dozen. Eleven of the 12 U.S. players are among the top 30 on the World Golf Rankings (as of Sept. 17). Tour rookie Jackson Koivun is 65th in the world but after just seven professional starts.
While Si Woo Kim, at No. 13, is the highest-ranked International player, all 12 are inside the top 100.
Every U.S. player except Koivun and Justin Thomas
qualified for the Tour Championship by finishing among the top 30 on the final FedEx Cup standings. Six of the International players were in the field at East Lake.
The 24 Presidents Cup players have combined to win 139 PGA Tour events, 277 worldwide professional titles and 15 major championships.
So they're no strangers, either to each other or to winning at the highest level. But for golf fans who may not be familiar with every player on the team, here's a look at the teams U.S. captain Brandt Snedeker and International captain Geoff Ogilvy will put on the course at Medinah:

Scottie Scheffler
