A man is suing McDonald’s after he swallowed a foreign object buried in a chicken nugget he bought at an outlet near West Palm Beach, according to the lawsuit.
The foreign object in the McNugget “appears to be a large bone,” according to Ian Bressler, the man’s attorney. JJ Current purchased the chicken nuggets at a McDonalds along Okeechobee Boulevard in West Palm Beach in January, according to the complaint filed on Tuesday, Oct. 13.
He “bit down and swallowed the foreign object and injured his stomach and teeth,” reads the complaint.
This led to “disability, disfigurement, pain and suffering, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life, loss of income, loss of earning capacity, medical expenses, hospitalization expenses, therapy
expenses, diagnostic expenses, nursing expenses, and/or aggravation of a previously existing condition,” it states.

Current, who online records show lives in the West Palm Beach area, is suing the fast-food company for more than $50,000. A spokesperson for McDonald's did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Palm Beach Post.
“MCDONALDS sold a defective product that was in an unreasonably dangerous condition and/or was adulterated in violation of Fla. Stat. 500.10 and any other applicable statutes,” reads the complaint.
The store is at Okeechobee Boulevard and Jog Road, according to an address listed in the lawsuit.
Are there usually bones in McDonald’s Chicken McNuggets?
The McDonald’s website says that Chicken McNuggets do not contain chicken bones.
“McDonald's Chicken McNuggets are made from 100% chicken breast meat; our chicken suppliers go to great lengths to remove bones,” reads the website.
