Grocery shopping in Palm Beach County just got more bearable. Costco’ssignature twisted cinnamon-sugar-dipped churros are back.
Costco confirmed that churros are returning to their stores in a social-media post on Friday, Sept. 18. There are four Costco Wholesale stores in Palm Beach County. The stores are in Boca Raton, Lantana, Royal Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
“The Churro is BACK in U.S. food courts for a limited time!” reads the Instagram post. “Look out for it at your local warehouse over the coming weeks as exact launch dates vary.”
The comments are flooded with people’s takes − not all of them positive − on the return of the fan-favorite menu item.'
What are people saying about the return of the churro at Costco?
Beach County
One user wrote, “Dreams do come true.” Another wrote, “Remove that limited time sign. We need this forever”. Others weren't so thrilled. One said, “We meant the old school straight churros, not these twisted imposters" and another wrote, "BUT WHY THE TWISTIES NOT NOT THE REGULAR OGS."
Gary Millerchip, Costco’s executive vice president and chief financial officer, confirmed that the churro will appear at food courts across all of Costco’s U.S. locations starting this September, according to a fourth quarter earnings call. The churro was discontinued in 2024, when they cost $1.49 each, according to media reports.
The return of the churro is not the only update at Costco's food courts. The grocer recently rolled out a new chicken tenders menu option − one that comes with a sauce that people have compared to Chick-fil-A's honey mustard − and a hot dog and bottled water combo.
