NAPA, Calif. ‒ Miami Dolphins edge rusher Chop Robinson has been ruled out of a Week 2 game at the San Francisco 49ers, coach Jeff Hafleysaid.
The Dolphins must rely on Josh Uche, Malik Herring and Robert Beal at edge rusher. Veteran Clelin Ferrell or rookie Max Llewelyn could be promoted from the practice squad.
Miami did not generate much pass rush or pressure on Kirk Cousins in a Week 1 loss.
Robinson sustained two concussions in 2025. This must be of concern to the Dolphins and Robinson, a 23-year-old former first-round pick.
Chop was named by the Post as the most important player to the Dolphins’ 2026 success and also the player most likely to break out in 2026.
Robinson had 10 sacks in his first two seasons and was surely aiming for 10+ sacks this
season.
Robinson added weight and strength this offseason which he believed would lead to a solid combination of power and speed to his pass rush.
