National Pizza Month offers a good excuse to revisit one of Palm Beach County's favorite food groups.
While longtime pizzerias still command loyal followings, 2026 brought a wave of notable newcomers, from family-run neighborhood spots and New York-style slice shops to a nationally recognized Neapolitan pizza maker.
Some arrived with decades of experience behind them. Others introduced entirely new concepts to the local dining scene.
Together, they reflect the variety of pizza now available across the county.
Here are five pizzerias that opened in 2026 and are already making their mark, one pie at a time.
Domenic's and Vinnie's, Royal Palm Beach

Opened March 1, Domenic's and Vinnie's transports a Connecticut pizza tradition dating to 1949 to Royal Palm Beach. Co-owner Mike Annenberg partnered
with longtime friend Vinny Crudeli, whose family has operated the original Connecticut restaurants for generations. The restaurant serves a style that blends New Haven influences with tavern pizza, while leaning heavily into scratch cooking. Dough is made fresh daily, sausage is prepared in-house and fresh mozzarella is made on site. Annenberg says the team even installed a water-filtration system designed to replicate Connecticut water in an effort to recreate the taste of the original pies.

Ben's Pizza, Palm Beach Gardens

Located on the second level of The Gardens Mall on the very edge of the food court, this by-the-slice pizza joint opened on Sept. 15. They feature seven pizzas to choose from ranging from classic cheese and pepperoni to meat lovers and the hot Stracciatella. Heated to perfection upon ordering, we tried the four above mentioned pies and were not disappointed. Riding a rockstar crust that had the perfect amount of crispiness and chew, but was still foldable, all four slices were excellent. It was the hot Stracciatella, however, that stood out the most. An all-out flavor fest, each dollop of creamy Stracciatella cheese, crowned with basil and drizzled with hot honey creates some serious sweet heat heaven!

‘O Munaciello, West Palm Beach

Opened in May, 'O Munaciello brings a slice of Italy to Palm Beach County. The Neapolitan pizzeria traces its roots to Florence and comes from a restaurant group whose Miami locations recently tied for No. 11 in the influential 50 Top Pizza USA rankings. Just months after opening, the West Palm Beach outpost earned national attention when USA Today named it one of America's best pizza restaurants. Traditional Neapolitan pies remain the focus alongside specialties that include an interesting charcoal-crusted Las Vegas pizza.

The Pizza Connection, Palm Beach Gardens

Opened Sept. 28, Pizza Connection transformed the longtime Sal's Express space at Donald Ross Village. Business partners Fabio Bartolotta and Christie Bellino built the concept around creative New York-style and Sicilian pizzas, including the Hot Honey Goomah and Ridgewood Sicilian. Louie Bossi consulted on a menu that extends beyond pizza with heroes, pasta, garlic knots and other Italian-American favorites.

Rosie’s, Wellington

Named for the owners' young daughter, Rosie's Pizza Restaurant opened in February and brings a longtime South Florida pizza legacy to Wellington. The family behind the restaurant traces its roots to Boca Raton's Augy's Restaurant & Pizza, which opened in 1977. Along with New York-style pies, Rosie's serves Detroit-style and Sicilian pizzas made with dough that undergoes a 72-hour fermentation process. Italian-American classics, pasta and sandwiches round out the menu.
