Jackson Koivun and Brooks Koepka will be teammates in TGL.
Koivun, the 21-year old PGA Tour rookie, is joining Motor City Golf Club for its inaugural season in the high-tech, indoor golf league founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
The announcement comes about six weeks after it was revealed Koepka, the five-time major champion from Jupiter, was joining the league's lone expansion team as TGL enters its third season.
TGL's season, which is played at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, opens Dec. 27.
Koivun was instrumental in the U.S. rallying to win the Presidents Cup Sept. 27, going undefeated (2-0-1), including a come-from-behind 2-up singles victory over Si Woo Kim, in the 17-13 decision. His first PGA Tour victory, at the 3M Open in Minnesota
in July, came in his third professional start.
“Some of my best experiences have come while playing team golf, from winning national championships at Auburn to representing the U.S. at the Presidents Cup,” Koivun said. “Having teammates alongside you and feeling that energy from the fans makes those moments even better. I am a huge fan of TGL and love how it brings new fans and an arena experience to golf.
"I’m excited to join Brooks, compete in a new environment and help build a team Detroit can passionately support.”

Koivun turned professional in June after a decorated career at Auburn He became the first player to twice sweep the Fred Haskins, Ben Hogan and Jack Nicklaus awards as the nation’s top collegiate golfer.
Koivun also has represented the United States in the Junior Presidents Cup, Arnold Palmer Cup, Walker Cup and Presidents Cup.
