Week 4 of Palm Beach County high school football revealed quite a bit about some of our best local gridiron squads.

At the very top, West Boca Raton (3-0) made clear that it is the best team in the county this season with a comprehensive 24-7 victory over Cardinal Newman (3-1), ending the Crusaders' five-year win streak against local competition.

Just below, Atlantic (3-1) put rumors of its decline on ice with an impressive road victory at Pahokee (3-1), which had begun the season with the emotional momentum.

Further down the poll, Royal Palm Beach (2-1) has entered the top 10 after picking up a win in the Muck over Glades Central. Quietly, John I. Leonard, which was 1-29 over the last three seasons, is still undefeated at 3-0.
