Despite recent rumors making the rounds on social media, Duffy's Sports Grill has not changed ownership. But change is indeed afoot.

The popular restaurant

chain with Palm Beach County roots and 28 locations is still owned by the Emmett and Morrison families. They have, however, brought in new leadership and management. Nick Nannoshi is the new CEO of Duffy’s Sports Grill and also part of the restaurant management firm Alex’s Hospitality Group.

Also — and this change has sparked quite the online kerfuffle — Duffy's has discontinued its popular 2-for-1 drink specials.

While lovers of this sweet deal may lament it's gone, Duffy's is seeking to fill the void.

A new happy hour that runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday has been rolled out featuring

several new cocktails including the Lychee Mule for $8, Gummy Bear Mojito for $6, Mango Margarita for $9 and the Key Lime Pie Martini for $10. The new revamped time of joy also features $3 domestic bottles, $5 house wines, $4 hard seltzers, well drinks for $5 and more.

Other new deals include $1 wing Mondays (bone-in or boneless), double points Tuesdays, kids eat free Wednesdays (with purchase of adult meal, dine-in only), $12.99 RibFix Thursdays (half rack with one side from 5 p.m. to close) and the MVP Afternoon Break where MVPs get 20 percent off their bill from 2 to 4 p.m.

The sesame crusted ahi tuna tataki is one of several new dishes Duffy's Sports Grill has introduced on their menus.

Duffy's is also bringing back its Late Night Bites menu. The menu is available from 9 p.m. to close and features great deals like the Buffalo chicken tacos for $8.99, The Bar Burger and fries for $9.99 and more.

Another cause for concern among the denizens of social media posters was the alleged disappearance of many menu items.

Duffy's reports this is not true and that they've actually added menu items to an already extensive menu.

The additions include sesame crusted tuna tataki, chicken parmesan sandwich and, for the holidays, they are bringing back the popular and greatly missed meatloaf. "Ma... the meatloaf!"

Duffy's Sports Grill will offer several special dishes for football season this year including Chef Aaron's All Star Fusion Burger featuring a certified Angus beef burger, bacon jam, avocado, Asian slaw, scallions, a sweet + spicy chili crisp, and Duffy's burger sauce.
