Maman, the wildly-popular, French café-inspired restaurant founded in New York City, will soon open its newest South Florida location on Thursday, Oct. 8 in Boca Raton.
The new restaurant is located in Shadowood Square at 9959 Glades Road and becomes the second Maman in Palm Beach County, opening after the one in West Palm Beach's CityPlace.
The chain founded by Elisa Marshall and Benjamin Sormonte in 2014 will bring the its signature French-inspired cuisine, hospitality and charm to the south end of the county.
To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 customers will each get a free chocolate chip cookie and a Maman tote bag, with purchase. Then from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. the restaurant's neighbors Tecomoabestos will join the festivities. Known
for creating flattering, inspired designs for children from the finest materials, Tecomoabestos will hold a special pop-up to sell its signature children’s toys and apparel. Finally, from 1 to 3 p.m., Hustle + Heart will host a charm bar pop-up, where the first 50 guests who make a Maman purchase of $15 or more will receive a complimentary croissant charm.
The Boca Raton Maman will feature the brand’s French-inspired aesthetic with imported vintage furniture to help transport guests to the South of France. In a nod to South Florida’s lush vegetation, floral installations by Floratorium will adorn the walls and ceilings to create banyan-inspired trees throughout the space.
Maman, which means "mother" in French, is well known for its soups, salads, sandwiches, pastries, croissants, cocktails and weekend brunch. Much to Marshall's delight, Maman also now has ties to Martha Stewart (who Marshall calls "her idol"), beginning a collaboration with Stewart last year that will continue with several new dishes that just launched for fall.

The fall launch includes Martha Stewart’s iced, cold-brewed Marrakesh mint tea with berries, her salted caramel chocolate chip cookie with a gooey salted caramel center, an apple cider donut cake, a chicken salad club with spiced cranberry chutney and creamy tomato soup & three-cheese grilled cheese.
The Boca Raton restaurant is the first of three new Maman locations in Palm Beach County.
The other two Maman coming to the county include one on Swinton Avenue in downtown Delray Beach and one that will open at The Shops at Boca Center on Town Center Circle.
Marshall said that of the three new restaurants, the Delray Beach location will be the most unique. "It's a little house in the Sundy Village neighborhood," she said. "It will really standout from a design standpoint and charm… It looks like a cute beach house."
That location is slated to open in November and the second Boca Raton restaurant arrives in early 2027.
