It's time for Shark Week!
With more than 450 species roaming the ocean, sharkshave a reputation as dangerous predators to humans and other marine life. Every year viewers and fans tune into the Discovery Channel's Shark Week to learn more about them.
The television series comes at the perfect time when shark activity in Florida waters peaks from April through October, coinciding with when more people are at the beach.

It airs on the Discovery
Channel every night, beginning at 8 p.m., with three episodes a night, except Aug. 1, when there will be only two.
