Indoor pickleball courts and a roster of new stores and eateries are making their way to Downtown Palm Beach Gardens.
Life Time Pickleball, an extension of Life Time gym which has a location at the retail and restaurant complex at PGA Boulevard and Alternate A1A, is set to open on Oct. 1, according to a spokesperson for Edens, the plaza’s owner.
It will bring six indoor pickleball courts to a space in the complex across the street from the gym. The courts will be open to Life Time members.
Two stores — Go Yummy and Quiet Storm Surf Shop — have already opened at the complex, according to the spokesperson.
Go Yummy is a family-run Swedish candy shop that has been frequented by social media food influencers and is central to the viral Swedish candy craze.
It opened at the complex at the end of February near the carousel. There are two other Go Yummy locations: one in Boca Raton and another in Fort Lauderdale.
Quiet Storm Surf Shop sells coastal apparel and accessories. It opened at the complex in June behind J. Crew Factory. The business has three other locations in Florida, with stores in Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Key West.
Store owners at the complex have said in the past that it has struggled to attract new shops after renovations started there in 2020, leading to confusion among some customers about whether stores stayed open through construction. But new stores have steadily opened at the complex since then.
“The construction was rough, and it was right after COVID,” Elizabeth LeGore, who owns Vagabond Apparel Boutique and Vagabond Apparel Kids, said last year. “Things are starting to get back to life. We definitely need that.”
Construction at the complex — except at individual stores — has since finished.
What stores, restaurants are coming soon to Downtown Palm Beach Gardens?
Seven stores are set to open soon:
- Bo Woods BBQ, a new restaurant, plans to open in early 2027.
- Escapology, which has escape rooms, plans to open in the fall. It has 12 other locations in Florida.
- Go Greek, a yogurt bar and cafe, plans to open this fall. It has six other shops in Florida.
- Naked Farmer plans to open in early 2027, according to an Edens spokesperson. Naked Farmer has a locally sourced, seasonal menu. It also is set to open an eatery this winter at Tanger Outlets in West Palm Beach. These will be among the restaurant’s first locations in Palm Beach County.
- Volo Medical, a new brand, plans to open in winter 2026 or 2027.
- Waxxed Sports Cards, a sports cards and collectibles store, is expected to open in September. It has five other stores in Florida.
