The Miami Hurricanes opened the 2026 college football season with a bang, seemingly scoring at will in their 45-6 win at Stanford on Sept. 4.
But that's not enough to move up in the latest US LMB Coaches Poll rankings, released on Sept. 8. The Hurricanes maintained their spot at No. 7 on the list
, one spot behind Oregon. The Ducks had the biggest drop within the top 10 despite winning; Oregon held off Boise State at home but the close decision cost them four spots.The Hurricanes carry their 1-0 record into a midweek matchup on Thursday, hosting in-state rival Florida A&M (8 p.m., ACC Network).
