The Florida high school football season has passed its midway point.
As we head into the second half, it means the inaugural Open Division and Class 6A-1A playoffs are getting closer. District champions
will be crowned — and the automatic playoff spot that comes with it — and teams will be jockeying for postseason seeding.
All playoff spots will be determined solely by the MaxPreps rankings, which are updated twice a week. And, as has been seen just over the past two weeks, can fluctuate wildly during between Sunday and Thursday updates even if very few games are played during the first few days of the week.

But what the current rankings do is give an idea of where teams stand after the first half of the season.
Based on that, here is what the current playoff bracket would look like if the season ended today.
