MIAMI
GARDENS — Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley met with reporters as the team turned its attention to the home opener against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Highlights from Hafley:
- Receiver Caleb Douglas (ankle) will not practice today.
- On safety Michael Taaffe sounding like a coach in how he can dissect plays. "It's not always going to be perfect, but what is really impressive is his preparation."
- Edge Chop Robinson will return to practice today. Hafley says he needs to "figure out" a way for his personnel to generate more pressure on quarterbacks. "I need to make sure I'm not getting frustrated."

- On Chiefs RB Kenneth Walker, who leads the NFL with 290 rushing yards: He adds a new dimension to their offense. "Very physical, very hard to tackle, great stiff-arm, he runs angry, which I have a lot of respect for."
- Hafley says he has a ton of respect for how Patrick Mahomes has come back from last year's injury.

- RB Jaylen Wright (stinger) will be limited today.
- On defending TE Travis Kelce: He and Mahomes are always on the same page, so Miami's defenders have to "strain" longer on every play because Mahomes knows what Kelce's bound to do when a play breaks down.
