CityPlace hosted a community block party on Thursday, Sept. 17, with live music, family activities and food.

The party, a Related Ross and CityPlace production, happened at the north end of the downtown West Palm Beach shopping district along Rosemary Avenue.

The event was free to the public, but those business that participated will donate a percentage of the proceeds to the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts.

The party included CityPlace restaurants such as Fuku, the Salty Donut, BuddhaBerry, SunLife Organics, Pura Vida and Moxies. Arya Tea Bar, VIP Paws and Trindy Gourmet offered activities.

CityPlace is a major mixed-use redevelopment project that opened in downtown West Palm Beach in 2000 on land previously occupied by aging retail and commercial

properties. Developed by billionaire developer Stephen Ross's The Related Companies, it was designed to help revive the city’s downtown by combining shopping, restaurants, entertainment, offices, and residential uses, and it became one of the area's most prominent redevelopment efforts.
