Forbes released its annual Forbes 400, a definitive list of the 400 wealthiest people in the United States, with nearly 50 of them living in palatial homes in Florida.
The outlet said its estimates on net
worth are a snapshot of wealth based on stock prices, a variety of assets, and exchange rates from Sept. 4. At the top of the list for a fifth year in a row, by a ridiculously wide margin, sits Elon Musk, with a net worth of $908 billion as of Sept. 4, up from $428 billion the year before after SpaceX went public.
Combined, the nation's 400 wealthiest people are worth a record-breaking $8 trillion thanks to skyrocketing tech sales, booms in AI sales and implementation, and other industries. Last year, the total was $5.6 trillion, Forbes said, up from $1.2 trillion in 2024.
The Floridians represent a total net worth of $743.6 billion, up from $716 billion in 2025 and $605 billion in 2024. Here's who they are.
