Looking at the history of Miami vs. Florida A&M, the latest chapter of which will be written today, college football fans might be most surprised by the one loss the Hurricanes have on the docket.
The matchup has certainly been weighted heavily against the Rattlers since UM put together the defining dynasty of the 1980s with five national championships to its name since then. Coach Mario Cristobal has gotten the Canes back to that old form, as evidenced by a 45-6 demolishing of Stanford in last week's opener. Quarterback Darian Mensah and receiver Malachi Toney made convincing early arguments for the Heisman Trophy in the blowout.

Carolina State last week in the same stadium they'll play in tonight. But the Rattlers do have a win against the Hurricanes thanks to a 16-13 stunner back in 1979. That was Howard Schnellenberger's first season in Coral Gables; Miami has won the 11 meetings since by an average score of 52-6.
