People deserved notice of Islamic Center
Regarding the contentious meeting about the Islamic Center approved for the Ag Reserve: I did not attend. However, it concerns me because it had not been presented to the community until this fifth and final meeting. The meeting on Friday was the first and only time residents became aware of this decision, and we are grateful and thankful for the flyer that went out alerting us to this meeting.
As Palm Beach County residents, we have the right to know what’s being built in our backyard. This decision was made five years ago. Certainly the commission knew exactly what the building plans were for this development and approved it anyway. I also take issue with Islamophobia as the main issue driving this protest. This is pure nonsense. There are already six mosques in Boca Raton, why choose to put another in the heart of a majority Jewish community, where traffic congestion and over-development is already a major issue? That perhaps is the question to be asked.

Trump crossed the line of treason
Donald Trump has accused many of his political enemies of treason this year. According to the Constitution, “Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.” This week, President Trump, in defending his war with Iran, announced that sacrificing a couple of California cities may be the price to pay if Iran gets a nuclear weapon. This was not a warning; this was an invitation. We are at war with Iran, and Trump is “giving them Aid and Comfort.” This is treason.

Take the illegality out of illegal immigrants
According to some statistics, there can be 14 million undocumented people in the United States. A tremendous amount of tax dollars is being spent on catching, detaining and deporting these people. This is a terrible waste of our taxpayer dollars and inhumane to all the families being torn apart. I think President Donald Trump should sign an executive order to make all illegal/undocumented people in the United States automatic citizens. That way they could all work legally and help our economy with paying taxes and providing services that are needed.
Once they are all legal, they are definitely under our legal system, and if they commit serious crimes, they can be dealt with accordingly. The president has signed many executive orders pardoning others, such as the Jan. 6 rioters, Medicare fraudsters and bitcoin entrepreneurs. So, apparently he has the ability to do this. After this executive order, the president should close all borders and put a ban on immigration for two years to allow our country to absorb these new citizens in a working capacity. What exactly would be the harm to the United States by making all the people who are already here to become productive, legal, America-loving citizens?
