The U.S. Coast Guard's search for Matt Pawlowski continued Saturday, Sept. 19, the sixth day since he went missing.
Pawlowski, an executive at the electric company NextEra Energy, was last seen paddleboarding 4 miles off the coast of Jupiter on Monday, Sept. 14. He is 48 years old.
According to Coast Guard reports, Pawlowski was riding a 14-foot lime-green-and-yellow paddleboard. A board fitting that description was found Wednesday, Sept. 16, about 10 miles off Jupiter Island. It is now in police custody.
The Coast Guard has employed the use of long-range search-and-rescue surveillance aircraft and U.S. Coast Guard cutters to search for Pawlowski.
Air crews have come from Miami and Elizabeth City, North Carolina, the Coast Guard said on X, the platform
formerly known as Twitter, said Saturday.
The Coast Guard station in Clearwater also has aided in the search, as have local law-enforcement agencies.
