Many believe the number 13 is unlucky — so much so airplanes skip the 13th row, hotels skip the 13th floor. So would you live in a 13th building?
Despite the superstition-inducing number in its location, a sales representative said would-be buyers jumped at the chance to be the owner of Residence 13 at the Forté Luxe community at 12450 Crystal Cove Place in Martin County just north of the Tequesta border. Most if not all of the marketing for the property, however, says that it sits in Jupiter despite it being just north of the county line.
The community, which is still under construction and is to be completed by December, boasts its waterfront property with "Bahama blue water."
At the center of it all is Residence 13, which is now under contract
after being listed for $7.995 million.
"It was our most popular (condo) we a lot of buyers interested, a lot of buyers circling it for a year or more and a couple of them did bring up (the number)," said Seth Mansfield, a sales associate with Douglas Elliman, which is representing sales at Forté Luxe.

Mansfield said many would-be buyers asked if there was anyway the building number could be changed, others said 13 was their favorite number.

The townhome was designed by architect Alfonso Jurado with the interiors done by Interiors by Stephen G. It has four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms spread out through the three-story home.
Features include a private in-ground pool, two car garage, an in home elevator, private boat slips and a rooftop terrace which overlooks the Jupiter Inlet with views of the Atlantic Ocean as well.
Alongside the special residence, Mansfield said many others are snatching up the remaining buildings at the chance to live at this one of a kind peninsula.
"We sold (residence) number 12 shortly after selling (residence) number 13, so that's significant. I mean traction is really picking up now that we're approaching the finish line," Mansfield said.
