The home of a Florida couple killed in a helicopter crash in Kenya was broken into days after their deaths, police said.
Harry Parra and Adam Hlavaty were aboard the helicopter that crashed in a rugged area of northern Kenya on Aug. 19. All seven people on board were killed, including four from Florida — Parra, Hlavaty, Telemundo executive José Alberto Suárez and George Stone Crab Founder Roger Duarte.
Coral Gables police said sometime between Aug. 20 and Aug. 22 Geybert Alexander Garcia and Melany Perdomo broke into Parra and Hlavarty’s home. Garcia, 40, and Perdomo, 24, took jewelry, art work, electronics and more including a Land Rover and Porsche SUV, according to an arrest report.

the home ransacked. Authorities were able to use tracking features on the stolen electronics and vehicles to locate the suspects.
Garcia and Perdomo are facing numerous charges including burglary and grand theft. Both have pleaded not guilty and are being held without bond.

Parra, 55, co-founded the Coral Gables-based company Trax USA, according to The Associated Press. He was fluent in English and Spanish and went to school at Miami Dade College.
Hlavaty, 42, was a co-founder of Mrkt Group, a real estate development and branded design company focusing on residential and commercial projects. A graduate of Purdue University, he previously served as vice president of real estate, construction and facilities for Pollo Tropical and vice president of development for Benihana, Inc.
Suárez, 55, was president and general manager of Telemundo stations in Fort Myers, Orlando and Tampa.
Duarte founded George Stone Crab in 2008 and grew it into a successful business that ships stone crab overnight to homes all over the country. The father of two married into the family that owns the famed Versailles restaurant in Miami, along with numerous other establishments in South Florida.
Pilot Josh Outram was killed along with Michele Sensi-Contugi and Stephany Holliham Yeaza. Sensi-Contugi was the director of the Ecuadorian National Intelligence Center. His wife, Hollihan was founder of fashion brand Sensi Studio.
