A day after Wyndham Clark implored American fans to crank up the cheering, the U.S. team crashed and burned. A 3-2 lead after four-ball play gave way to an unthinkable sweep during foursomes, giving Geoff Ogilvy's International squad a 7-3 lead heading into the weekend. The U.S. has won the past 10 Presidents Cups and is 13-1-1 in its history.
Captain Brandt Snedeker has decisions to make. Scottie Scheffler won beside Sam Burns on Day 1, but his shaky team-play history reared its head again in a loss to Nick Taylor and Corey Conners. Could he put rookie Jackson Koivun

Day 3 of the 2026 Presidents Cup will broadcast nationally on Golf Channel starting at 8 a.m. before switching to NBC for the rest of the day starting at 9 a.m. Teams will take part in four-ball play in the morning and foursomes play in the afternoon.

Presidents Cup format
Saturday will see the most action with four four-ball matches in the morning and four foursome matches in the afternoon. In four-ball play, each golfer plays his own ball on each hole, and the player with the lowest score for each team counts for that hole. In foursomes, teammates alternate taking the pair's shots for each hole. For both formats, the pair that wins the most holes earns the point for their team.

What is the Presidents Cup?
The Presidents Cup is a team golf event run by the PGA Tour pitting 12 U.S. players against 12 from around the world (excluding Europe, which competes in the Ryder Cup). It started in 1994 and takes place every other year, the off years of the Ryder Cup. There are 30 matches of four-ball, foursome and singles play over four days, and the team that reaches 15.5 first wins the trophy. The United States is 13-1-1 throughout the tournament's history and has won 10 in a row.
