Kai Trump, the granddaughter of President Donald Trump, and a social media golf influencer who is now playing for the Miami Hurricanes, posted a medical update on Instagram on Oct. 14 regarding her injured wrist.
Kai Trump shared with the world that she has undergone surgery on her left wrist after suffering an injury in September during her first college tournament.
The 19-year-old Trump played in a three-round-in-two-day tournament last week in Muncie, Indiana, but her post on Wednesday morning showed her in a hospital bed with an IV in one arm and her other arm in a sling.
Her post does not provide a timeline for her return to play, stating that "recovery will take time."
Trump was seen in a sling when she accompanied her grandfather at the College
Football Playoff national championship game at Hard Rock Stadium, featuring her school, Miami, and Indiana. At the time, she was a couple of weeks removed from another left wrist surgery, this time to "to address injuries to the stabilizing tissues of my ECU tendon and damage to my triangular fibrocartilage complex."
The extent of her latest wrist injury or the surgical procedure is not known.
The former Benjamin School star golfer suffered the latest injury while trying to hit a ball near a cart path and the club struck hard ground under the grass during the 2026 Golfweek Fall Classic in Pawleys Island, South Carolina.
