We've fought valiantly against the diabolical duo of heat and humidity this summer and managed to hold the line. 1. World's Largest K1 Go-Kart Race, West Palm Beach
This event at K1 Speed will decide who really has the "need for speed." It runs all day with an updated ticker on their website showing how many racers have competed across all their properties as well as the top times at the K1 Speed in West Palm Beach. At the end of the day the top three racers with the fastest single laps will win five free races, three free races and two free races respectively. The event celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Go-Kart.

2. Bats After Dark: Night Hike, Jupiter
Celebrate International Bat Night at Riverbend Park with an evening guided hike. Join a naturalist and discover Florida’s bats, learn about their unique behaviors and the important role they play as insect-eaters and pollinators. Participants should wear closed-toe walking shoes and bring water, a flashlight and insect repellent.

3. Party in Paradise: Delray's Tribute to Jimmy Buffett
This free community event at Old School Square will celebrate Florida's official 'Jimmy Buffett Day' with three live bands including Cape Universal, Strawberry Lane and Private Stock; island-inspired activities; Los Linderos Tequila margaritas; and a laid-back tropical atmosphere. Attendees are encouraged to participate in costume contests, limbo competitions, games and more. Food and beverage vendors will be on site.

4. Deck 84's 3rd Annual Jimmy Buffett Day, Delray Beach
This waterfront dining destination will celebrate the enduring legacy of Jimmy Buffett with food and drink specials as well as live music by the Seven Mile Bridge Band. Festive food and drink options inspired by the late musician will include the Paradise Cheeseburger, Sunset Sliders, Coconut Shrimp & Chips, Parrot Punch, Coconut Telegraph Margarita and the Key West Paloma. A portion of the proceeds from the day will go to Save the Manatee Club.
