Coco Gauff will be a player/owner of the World Team Tennis Florida Flamingos Racquet Club.
Gauff, who lives in Delray Beach and is currently ranked No. 4 in the world, will compete in home matches at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise on Dec. 14 and 15. She is slotted to play against Victoria Mboko of Toronto North andJessica Pegula of the New York Empire in the projected lineups for each match. Pegula, ranked No. 3, lives in Boca Raton.
“Growing the sport through team competition and making it more accessible are two things I love, and WTT does both,” Gauff said. “I’m looking forward to playing at home in front of my family and friends in South Florida. It’s not often, as a tennis player, that we get to compete as part of a team, so I’m excited for the new
experience, not only for myself but, even more importantly, for the fans.”
Gauff, who has won two Grand Slam tournaments, recently advanced to the semifinals of the U.S. Open where she fell to Elena Rybakina, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4.
Gauff has a history of being involved in the community and honoring her hometown. She helped refurbish the Pompey Park tennis courts in partnership with the USTA’s U.S. Open Legacy Initiative in 2024, launched the Coco Delray shoe collaboration with New Balance in 2025 and there is her ongoing work through the Coco Gauff Foundation.

The mixed-gender professional team tennis league, co-founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, is going through a relaunch with three new teams, including the Flamingos.
Gauff will be joined on the Flamingos by Tommy Paul, Learner Tien, Brandon Nakashima, Iva Jovic and Eva Lys. Besides Gauff and Pegula, other notable tennis pros competing in the league are Taylor Fritz, Frances Tiafoe, Leylah Fernandez and Denis Shapovalov.
As part of WTT’s relaunch in December, each match will feature four singles sets and a mixed doubles Super-tiebreaker – with men and women contributing to the outcome equally in every match.
The schedule has been moved to December, outside of the traditional tennis calendar, creating a window that fits players' schedules with matches staged in flagship venues. Those matches used to take place in July in the middle of the traditional tennis calendar.
Meanwhile, WTT announced a broadcast partnership with Versant's USA Sports to exclusively air all six matches on CNBC in primetime. Fandango will provide live free streaming coverage.
