It all comes down to this. The 2026 Presidents Cup is anyone's game entering the final day of singles play after the United States made up some ground against the International team seeking just its second
win in the tournament's 32-year history.
In the race to 15.5 points, the International side leads the U.S. 10.5-7.5. Geoff Ogilvy's International side jumped out to a four-point lead after Friday's five-match sweep during foursome play. The U.S. made modest improvements Saturday thanks to a 2-1-1 showing in morning four-ball and a split 2-2 follow-up in the afternoon foursomes, the latter played with world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler sitting out.
Now there are only 12 1-on-1 singles matches left to decide the winner. President Donald Trump will be there at Medinah to see if captain Brandt Snedeker's lineup can keep the trophy in the U.S. for the 11th straight tournament. The hosts haven't lost the Presidents Cup since 1998, and breaking that streak would be even worse than the humiliating Ryder Cup defeat in 2025.

What is the Presidents Cup?
The Presidents Cup is a team golf event run by the PGA Tour pitting 12 U.S. players against 12 from around the world (excluding Europe, which competes in the Ryder Cup). It started in 1994 and takes place every other year, the off years of the Ryder Cup. There are 30 matches of four-ball, foursome and singles play over four days, and the team that reaches 15.5 first wins the trophy. The United States is 13-1-1 throughout the tournament's history and has won 10 in a row.
