A car fire blocked two right lanes on Florida's Turnpike south near Boynton Beach on Wednesday morning.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation, the fire stretched from before Mile Marker 89 to beyond Exit 86 at Boynton Beach Boulevard, also known as State Road 804.
The blockage affected the southbound lanes of the Turnpike, one of the main north-south routes through Palm Beach County.
Drivers heading through the area during the morning commute should expect delays and consider alternate routes such as Interstate 95 or U.S. 1 until crews clear the scene. The Florida 511 website has not released details on the cause of the fire, whether anyone was injured or when the blocked lanes are expected to reopen.
