The Miami Dolphins have yet to win a game — yet to even hold a lead — through five games in 2026. Some of that is bad luck, as their opponents are a combined 22-5 entering Week 7.
But today could be different with the Dolphins trekking up to the Meadowlands to face the 2-4 New York Jets. Both teams feature struggling offenses, though Miami's ranks as the NFL's worst and the Jets at least have been counterbalanced by coach Aaron Glenn's defense, which has allowed the fifth fewest points and recovered the most fumbles in the league.
The Dolphins will have a tough time cracking that defense with Malik Willis, who has thrown just two touchdowns against four interceptions. They'll look to the run game, which put up 217 yards in a 31-24 loss to Cincinnati
before their bye. Miami should get Jaylen Wright back to pair with Ollie Gordon II as well.

The Jets' offense looks to be without its lead running back again with Breece Hall limited throughout the week of practice. And Geno Smith's return to New York hasn't gone great, though he did have a decent 20-of-30 day with 252 yards and a TD in last week's loss to New England. Rookie receiver Omar Cooper from Indiana had his first big game as a pro with six catches for 103 yards and a score.

Dolphins vs Jets predictions, picks for NFL Week 7
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz, USA TODAY
Jets 24, Dolphins 23: "After New York failed to make Garrett Wilson a central part of its game plan against the Patriots, it's time for the Jets to feed its star target. Miami's problems protecting Malik Wills could yield another big day for rookie edge rusher David Bailey, who's come on strong in October."
Vinnie Iyer, Sporting News
Dolphins 24, Jets 20: "The Jets' run defense keeps having issues and the Dolphins have become a very effective running team led by Ollie Gordon II and Malik Willis. They will also come out refreshed defensively after the bye to contain what's around Geno Smith and bring some pressure."
Pete Prisco, CBS Sports
Jets 19, Dolphins 17: "The Dolphins are off their bye in search of their first victory, while the Jets lost to the Patriots last week. The Jets have the better team and their defense should be able to limit the Miami offense. But the Dolphins play hard and will also play well on defense. It's close."
Jeremy Bergman, NFL.com
Jets 24, Dolphins 16: "As long as New York plays error-free ball on offense -- Geno Smith's rare interception in Week 6 sank Gang Green's hopes of an upset in New England -- the Jets should take care of their rivals to the south."
